Merete Smith is the Secretary General of the Norwegian Bar Association. She has a law degree from University of Oslo, Norway, and an LL.M. from Gorgetown University in Washington DC. Before she came to the Bar Association, she was an Appeal Court Judge. She also has many years’ experience from the MInistry of Justice in Norway.
