Dr Eimear Brown is the Dean of the School of Law at the Honorable Society of King’s Inns, a post she took up in 2015. As Dean, Eimear oversees the running of all courses of legal education at King’s Inns, including the Degree of Barrister-at-Law, which is course leading to qualification as a barrister in Ireland. Eimear is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, where she studied Law and French and completed her PhD on the incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights into Irish Law.
Eimear is a qualified barrister and practised at the Irish bar for some years before deciding to focus exclusively on legal education. Prior to being appointed Dean, Eimear lectured part-time at Trinity College Dublin and was the academic coordinator of the Diploma in Legal Studies course in King’s Inns. Eimear is committed to innovation in legal education. Her hobbies include reading and martial arts.
