David refers to Scotch whisky as his gateway into the world of spirits having developed a taste for it in his mid 30s. He has since broadened his passion for whisky to include Bourbon, Japanese and of course Canadian whiskies. Whisky based cocktails are a favourite and David has been honing his mixology skills, while accumulating an assortment of bar tools, ice cube molds, and a growing library of cocktail manuals. David enjoys sourcing new ingredients, collecting aromatic bitters, and making his own syrups to add spice and variety to his cocktails.
