Ben is a Senior Research and Policy Officer at the Consumer Policy Research Centre. His work has focused on consumer choice in complex markets, considering in particular the implications of behavioural economics for policymakers and regulators in the design and stewardship of consumer markets. He has managed academic research partnerships with various Australian universities exploring consumers attitudes to online reviews, how older consumers navigate in-home care markets, and behavioural research to design and test service quality measures for the residential electricity market.
Ben currently sits on the Consumer Panel of the Victorian Legal Services Board. He has previously worked at the University of Melbourne in Chancellery Operations, and for a market research and strategy consultancy firm.
Ben has a Master of Public Policy and Management and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, and has undertaken further study in Impact Evaluation also at the University of Melbourne.
