Social Justice – Diversity & Wellbeing | Breakout: Diversity in the Profession –The Role of the Regulator?

This session will look at what diversity in the profession means and why it matters. To what extent is it important that the legal professions reflect the communities they serve and are diverse businesses better businesses? Can the regulator do more to promote that diversity and what tools do we have at our disposal? Is this all about data or can we do more with our regulatory levers – and what about leadership? We will look at the profile of the profession in different jurisdictions and discuss what some regulators are doing to make a difference in this high profile area.
