ICLR 2022: Things To Know Before You Go

Thank you for registering for the ICLR 2022 Conference. This "Know Before You Go" email will help you prepare for the event. We are looking forward to seeing you in Chicago from 26 October - 28 October, 2022.
|
- 26 October, the ICLR 2022 registration desk will be located in the University Club’s Gallery Foyer on the 12th floor starting at 4:00pm.
- 27 and 28 October, the ICLR 2022 registration desk will be located in the University Club’s Cathedral Hall Foyer on the 9th floor starting at 8:00am each day.
- Please note that badges are required for all attendees and must be worn at all times during the conference. Persons not displaying their conference credentials may be asked to leave by security personnel.

- Valet parking at the University Club is available 24 hours, seven days a week.
- Member day rate: $30, overnight rate: $55
- Guest day rate: $38, overnight rate: $55
- Self-parking is available at the following garages (daily rates may vary, check parking garage websites for additional details): Grant Park East Garage (located at Columbus Drive and Michigan Avenue), Grant Park North Garage (located at Madison Street and Michigan Avenue), and Grant Park South Garage (located at Jackson Street and Michigan Avenue).

Public transportation from O'Hare Airport
|
- Follow the signs through O'Hare Airport to the CTA Blue Line train. Take the CTA Blue Line train downtown to the Monroe/Dearborn stop. Walk east 0.2 miles to 76 E Monroe St. Approximately 45 min.
Public transportation from Midway Airport
|
- Follow signs through Midway Airport to the CTA Orange Line train. Take the CTA Orange Line train downtown to the Adams/Wabash stop. Walk 0.1 miles southeast to 76 E Monroe St. Approximately 38 min.

Odyssey Chicago River (Ticketed Event - Pre Purchase Required)

- Attendees are responsible for getting to and from the dock. The dock is walkable from both the University Club and Pineapple Hotel.
- Walking: Head toward the Apple Store on Michigan Ave. Once at the store, immediately adjacent to the store you will see a large set of concrete stairs leading down to the waterfront. Head down those stairs. Once down the stairs, turn left, and look for the Odyssey River Boat.
- Driving/Parking: The closest parking garage to Odyssey Chicago River is located at 219/225 E. North Water Street, on the LOWER level
- Uber Drop Off: The closest drop off location is the turnaround outside of NBC Tower. There is a large set of stairs that leads down to the river.
- If anyone requires and elevator, there is an elevator East of the Apple Store.
- The Odyssey Chicago River does not have a strict dress code. While the boat is enclosed and heated, a jacket or sweater is recommended depending on the weather.
- Boarding begins promptly at 12:00. Each guest is required to have a physical ticket in hand to board, a conference representative will be on hand to ensure our guests receive their tickets.
- In accordance with US Coast Guard Regulation, all passengers and their belongings embarking onto our vessels are subject to search and screening. To expedite the boarding process, the boat venue has asked that you do not bring unnecessary bags or outside food and beverages and please ensure that all gifts are unwrapped or placed in gift bags or for easy screening.
- The boat will leave promptly at 12:30 and return at 14:30.
Conference Welcome Reception

- ICLR 2022 Conference Welcome Reception. If you pre-registered for the Conference Welcome Reception, it will be held on Wednesday, 26 October from 17:00-19:00 in the University Club’s Gallery Foyer on the 12th Floor.
Conference Networking Dinner
|
- ICLR 2022 Conference Networking Dinner. If you pre-registered for the Conference Networking Dinner on Thursday 27 October from 17:30-22:00 it will be held in the University Club’s majestic Michigan & Monroe Rooms on the second floor.
Continuing Legal Education Credit
|
CLE accreditation will be sought in Illinois only. Illinois-licensed attendees interested in obtaining CLE credit should be sure to sign the Attendance Record sheet at the beginning of each of the days of their attendance and keep track of the sessions they attend on the CLE Verification Form. The Attendance Record sheet and extra CLE Verification forms will be available at the Conference Registration table.

Attendees seeking to self-apply for CLE credit in other jurisdictions should also remember to sign the Attendance Record sheet at the beginning of each day of the days of their attendance. Self-applying registrants may request attendance documentation from the ICLR registration team at iclr@i3events.com.

Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
|
- Guests who indicated in their conference registration that they have food allergies or special needs regarding food will have a green dot on their conference badge in order to assist food service staff in accommodating special requests. We recommend, however, that any guest with food allergies or dietary restrictions alert their servers of any necessary accommodations prior to all meals.
- ICLR 2022 will follow national, state, and local guidelines, as well as facility-specific COVID-19 policies, at the ICLR 2022 Conference to ensure the safety of all participants. Registrants should be prepared to follow any Covid-19 precautions that may be in force at the time of the conference.
- Registrants shall not attend the conference if they are displaying any Covid symptoms.
- Should registrants develop COVID symptoms during the conference, they shall notify the ICLR registration team via email at iclr@i3events.com, self-isolate and comply with any local or national restrictions, including participation in contact tracing requirements.
- The ICLR 2022 planning committee will continue to monitor and assess the COVID-19 situation and adjust our protocols in accordance with CDC guidelines and all rules and regulations specific to the United States and the State of Illinois.
Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Chicago Department of Public Health have indicated that Chicago’s COVID-19 Risk Level is “Low” and large-scale events are allowed to operate at full capacity. - Regardless of the area’s risk level, ICLR 2022 conference attendees are strongly encouraged to ensure they are up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, including boosters, if eligible, prior to traveling to the conference. Conference attendees may choose to wear a mask at any time, even if they are vaccinated. An individual’s choice as to whether or not to wear a mask will be respected at all times.
- Business casual attire or better is required throughout the Clubhouse Monday through Friday.
- Please remember to bring a sweater or light jacket as the meeting rooms may sometimes be a bit chilly

- Monday - Friday 11 - 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm, otherwise unattended
- Chicago weather in late October can vary from warm and sunny to cold and snowy. Please check the weather prior to departure to avoid being uncomfortable.

Despite these charms, travelers are reminded of the following safety tips that prove useful in most big cities
- When off the hotel grounds, please do not wear your badge in public.
- When out in an urban area, it is advisable to travel in groups or pairs.
- Always be aware of your surroundings.
- Do not carry any unnecessary valuables with you.
- If parking, lock your vehicle and never leave valuables or personal items on display.
- If you lose property such as a purse or wallet containing credit cards, driver's license, or passport, file a police report immediately dialing 3-1-1. Contact your credit card companies immediately to inform them of your lost cards.
